Join INP to learn from acclaimed philanthropic futurist and author Trista Harris on where current trends are headed and how we can build the future we want to see for ourselves, our sector, and our communities. This engaging session will focus on:

  • Developing a future-focused mindset for your work so you can adapt and thrive.
  • Learning a series of trends that will impact the field for generations to come.
  • Acquiring practical tools and strategies for applying futurism in your day-to-day work.

This session will be livestreamed as part of INP’s Leadership Learning Series, sponsored by The Allstate Foundation.

12:45 PM | Networking Lunch

1:45 PM | Interactive Session on “Upgrading Humanity in the Age of AI” with Trista Harris, President, FutureGood

Artificial intelligence is already transforming how decisions are made, resources are distributed, and systems operate. But while AI can analyze what has already happened, it cannot imagine new possibilities. That is human work. In the social sector, our work is rooted in relationships, trust, and the ability to create solutions where none existed before.

Join philanthropic futurist Trista Harris for a practical and inspiring session on how nonprofit and foundation leaders can respond to the rise of AI. This is not a tech conversation, it is a human one. You will explore how to use AI as a tool that supports your values, expands your imagination, and helps build a future where people come first. The world is shifting quickly, and our sector is the best place to model what it means to be fully human in a changing world.

3:15 PM | Break to Recharge & Reflect

3:30 PM | Panel Discussion on “Generative AI and Community Well-being: Voices from Frontline Leaders”, Co-hosted with The Boston Foundation featuring Mitchell Weiss, Professor of Management Practice, Harvard Business School; Theodora Skeadas, Chief of Staff, Humane Intelligence; Shaibya Dalal, Senior Director, Policy Research & Development, PolicyLink; and Dr. Kimberlyn Leary, Senior Advisor, New America & Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School as Moderator

Generative AI is rapidly transforming every sector of society – from education and employment to housing and healthcare. Its influence reaches everyone, and thus its role in shaping community well-being is both profound and raises new and urgent questions. This session will emphasize the insights of nonprofit leaders who are closest to the ground, serving metro-Boston and Northeastern communities that are furthest from opportunity. These leaders bring practical wisdom, early experimentation, and critical questions about how AI might advance or undermine their missions.

4:30 PM | Closing Session

5:00 PM | Reception

6:00 PM | Farewell
