Talya Oberfield

Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives & Organizational Effectiveness

Talya brings over twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector with national organizations during critical times of growth and geographic expansion. INP’s approach to leadership development and equity aligns with Talya’s fundamental belief and experience that investing in people is the key to building strong and thriving organizations, teams, and leaders. In her current role, she is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive organizational effectiveness across a wide portfolio of internal and external initiatives to support organizational goals and culture.

Prior to INP, Talya most recently served as Director of Community Partnerships & Outreach at Girls Who Code, overseeing a team of 35+ to exponentially scale their programs to over 10,000 sites nationally through staff training and development, partnership cultivation, and student recruitment. She held multiple leadership roles at other nonprofit organizations, including iMentor as part of the Senior Leadership Team focused on capacity-building, mentorship, and college access, as well as Building Impact. Talya was also a Citizen Schools Teaching Fellow and remains a proud AmeriCorps alum.

She received her Masters in Education from Lesley University and her BA in Urban Studies from Brown University. A native New Yorker, Talya spent many years in Boston and Los Angeles before moving to New Jersey with her family.
