LieChelle R. Hernandez

Program Coordinator

LieChelle R. Hernandez (she/her) brings her experience in program management and capacity building in the nonprofit sector to the Institute for Nonprofit Practice team.

LieChelle joined INP after working at Maryland Philanthropy Network (MPN) as a Program and Research Associate; working on the implementation of member and staff driven programs, as well as ensuring the mission and values of MPN are at the forefront of decision making.

While at MPN, LieChelle cultivated opportunities for Maryland’s philanthropic community to address critical issues and improve community conditions by way of learning and exchange.

As a woman of color, she prioritizes having discussions that get to actionable ways that racial equity can show up in nonprofit organizations. Born and raised in Bronx, New York, LieChelle was first introduced to public and community service in her earliest experiences. She is excited to pursue her passion for building connections and aiding in the progress of leaders and their communities.

LieChelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a MPA, focused in education reform and social policy from Syracuse University. If she’s not reading a book on self-care or traveling, LieChelle can be found trying out new local restaurants and exploring cities in the Northeast region.
