Courtney Ryan brings a dynamic background in nonprofit leadership, strategic initiatives, and staff development to her work at INP. As Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives, she leads cross-functional projects that strengthen organizational operations, communications, culture, and strategic growth. Her work spans executive and board engagement, organizational planning, internal communications, and initiatives that support INP’s mission.

Courtney began her career managing study abroad programs at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before co-founding the Foundation for Learning and Youth Travel Education (FLYTE). As Executive Director and board member, she helped build the organization from the ground up, leading efforts that provided more than 200 students with culturally immersive, sustainability-focused travel experiences around the world. Throughout her career, Courtney has held leadership roles across the nonprofit sector, including Director of Advancement at Madison Community Montessori School and Strategic Initiatives Manager at iMentor, a national youth mentoring organization.

A proud Wisconsinite, Courtney lives in Madison with her family and enjoys exploring local parks and restaurants, reading anything she can get her hands on, jogging Madison’s trails, and building elaborate LEGO creations with her son.

Courtney holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with minors in Peace Studies and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Studies at the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
