Courtney Ryan

Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Courtney brings a diverse background in nonprofit management, development, and higher education to her role at INP. She began her career managing study abroad programs at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, then went on to co-found the Foundation for Learning and Youth Travel Education (FLYTE). As the Executive Director and board member, she led the organization in sending over 200 students on culturally immersive, sustainable travel experiences around the world.

Courtney has held key leadership roles across the nonprofit sector, including Director of Advancement at Madison Community Montessori School and Strategic Initiatives Manager at iMentor, a national youth mentoring organization. Currently, as Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives at INP, she leads a range of internal and external communications efforts, supports cross-functional projects, and works to strengthen organizational culture through thoughtful collaboration and planning.

A proud Wisconsinite, Courtney lives in Madison, where she serves on her neighborhood board and participates in the Leadership Greater Madison initiative. She enjoys exploring local parks and eateries with her family, jogging through the city’s trails, building Lego masterpieces with her 8-year-old son, and curling up with a good book.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, with minors in Peace Studies and Spanish, from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. Courtney is pursuing a Master’s in Urban Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
