Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Aliyah is passionate about building community, youth development, and creating sustainable change. Aliyah brings her experience in community engagement, nonprofit administration, and project management to INP.

Prior to joining INP, Aliyah worked at The Mayor’s Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods (OSHN), a Louisville Metro department working to prevent gun violence. Within OSHN she was able to support grassroots organizations of all sizes to increase their capacity for violence prevention work. Aliyah also brings years of experience from the nonprofit sector from her time at Educational Justice, a local nonprofit working to bridge educational inequity in Louisville.

Aliyah received her BA from The University of Kentucky in Psychology. While there she worked to create a network of college mentors for elementary and middle school aged youth in the Lexington-Fayette area.

Aliyah is driven by her love for community and the belief that every person is resourceful and whole. When she isn’t working towards building sustainable and equitable communities, Aliyah recharges by being a self-proclaimed foodie and exploring the beauty of Kentucky and surrounding states.
