Erica is the Founding Director of the Black Leadership Institute, a program that will provide the space, resources, content, and support that senior Black leaders need to thrive and ultimately step into greater positions of power and influence in their enterprises, their communities, and society at large. Erica’s affiliation with the Institute for Nonprofit Practice began with her role as a New York City Launch Committee member, which then shifted to her taking on a role as the lead faculty member for the city’s inaugural Community Fellows and Core Programs. In addition, Erica has also served as a member of the Institute’s Executive Leadership Team, offering strategic counsel and working to launch responsive, high-quality programming in new markets across the country.

During her time in the private sector, Erica spent nearly a decade working at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, leading teams and overseeing projects in the U.S. and abroad to create and implement: talent recruitment and leadership development programs, diversity and inclusion strategies, and strategic business initiatives. In addition, during this time, Erica led cross-functional teams to drive business strategy, develop sales and marketing programs, and manage operations and administrative projects.

Erica is also the Founder & Principal of The Memo I Never Got (MING), a strategic advisory firm that provides bespoke services to C-suite leaders who are committed to creating programs and spaces that resource BIPOC and women individuals to realize their full potential in their work and lives — now, rather than ‘someday.’

Erica is currently a Board Member for Arbor Brothers, The Circulus Institute, and has also served as a Robert Sterling Clark Foundation Advisory Council member.

Erica received her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, her MPA from the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and her B.A. from Harvard.
