Vice President of Early Career Programs, Institute for Nonprofit Practice

Brian Garshelis is a recognized national leader in social impact and leadership development. He joined INP in 2021 as the VP of Early Career Programs. Brian came to INP from New Sector Alliance, where he served as Executive Director. He was with New Sector for over 10 years and played multiple roles, including running the San Francisco Bay Area site, launching the Twin Cities site, and overseeing programming nationally. His previous professional experience includes working for Bloomington Jefferson High School, Jumpstart, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Spotlight Consulting, a professional training and coaching firm. Brian holds a BA in political science from the University of St. Thomas. His hobbies include playing soccer, skiing, baking, waffle making, and spending quality time with his family.
