Managing Director of Business Development, Kingmakers of Oakland

Anthony Shoecraft is a Growth Strategist who partners with mission-driven executives and organizations to grow their social impact, with racial equity as the driving tenet. He is currently the Managing Director of Business Development for Kingmakers of Oakland, an Oakland-based social enterprise that partners with schools and communities to improve the educational and life outcomes for Black males.

Previously, he served as a political appointee in the Seattle Mayor’s Office and Department of Education and Early Learning following years of regional leadership in education organizing, policy, and advocacy. After nearly two decades in the nonprofit and government sectors, Anthony has been recognized regionally and nationally for his work in the field of Black Male Achievement and innovations in education advocacy, organizing, and policy.

Anthony is in the inaugural cohort of the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program, holds double master’s degrees (MPA, MSW) from the University of Washington, and is an alum of The Hampton University (BA, Psychology). Most importantly, he was born and raised in Seattle’s south end and proudly centers his values of faith, family, servant leadership, and courageous authenticity in all his professional and civic pursuits. Anthony is a proud husband and father of two beautiful young Black children.
